HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE AUGUST 18 PRIMARY ELECTION

Broward County, FL (August 17, 2026) – The 2026 Primary Election is Tuesday, August 18. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voters in line by 7:00 p.m. will be permitted to vote.

“We encourage voters who choose to vote at their assigned precinct on Election Day to confirm their polling place by visiting BrowardVotes.gov. Voters who may still be holding on to their Vote-by-Mail ballots may return them to any one of our permanent branch offices by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day,” said Broward County Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott.

Election Day reminders:

Polling place: Voters must vote at their assigned polling place. Confirm your location at BrowardVotes.gov before leaving home.

Identification: Bring a current and valid photo ID with a signature.

Voter information card: The card is helpful but is not required to vote.

Returning Vote-by-Mail ballots: Vote-by-Mail ballots must be received at one of the Supervisor of Elections Office’s seven permanent office locations by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarks do not count.

Preliminary results will begin streaming at BrowardVotes.gov beginning at 7:00pm. The first report will include Vote-by-Mail and Early Voting results. Election Day results will be added as polling-place totals are received.
