Dr. Susanne Timmons joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections in January 2015 and brings over 25 years of leadership experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Law and Public Policy from Walden University, a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Purdue Global University. She also holds the Master Florida Certified Election Professional (MFCEP) designation.
Dr. Timmons is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). As Human Resources Director, she oversees all human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, policy implementation, and compliance. She works closely with leadership to ensure HR strategies align with the organization’s mission while maintaining legal and ethical standards. Dr. Timmons is committed to strengthening workplaces, supporting employees, and serving the Broward County community with integrity and professionalism.
