Vote-By-Mail Ballots to Be Mailed for the August 18 Primary Election

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – On Monday, July 13, beginning at 10:00 a.m., the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office will begin mailing more than 90,000 domestic Vote-By-Mail ballots to Broward County voters for the August 18, 2026 Primary Election.

Voters are encouraged to sign up for status notifications regarding their Vote-By-Mail ballot by visiting BrowardVotes.gov. Once signed up, voters can receive notifications when their ballot has been mailed, received, and counted. Voters will also be alerted if there is an issue with their ballot.

The media and community members are welcome to view staff as ballots are loaded onto trucks for distribution. This event will be held:

Vote-By-Mail ballots include pre-paid return postage. Voters returning a ballot by mail should allow as much time as possible for delivery. Vote-By-Mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Voters may return completed Vote-by-Mail ballots to secure ballot intake stations at Supervisor of Elections offices or at designated Early Voting locations during the Early Voting period.

On August 17th and Election Day, August 18, Vote-by-Mail ballots will only be accepted at secure ballot intake stations located at Supervisor of Elections offices throughout the county.

 

Important Dates and Information for the August 18th Primary Election:

• Voter registration deadline and deadline to change party affiliation: Monday, July 20, 2026
• Last day to request a Vote-By-Mail ballot: Thursday, August 6, 2026, by 5:00 p.m.
• Early Voting: August 8-16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Election Day: Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
