Uniformed & Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA)

Broward County, FL. (July 2, 2024) – Over 2900 Vote-By-Mail ballots for the Primary Election will be sent to military and overseas citizens on July 3, 2024. In addition to registering to vote, UOCAVA voters may request a Vote-By-Mail Ballot by using the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA)

Who Qualifies for UOCAVA:

  • Members of the Uniformed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service, and the Merchant Marine) and their eligible family members.
  • U.S. citizens residing outside the United States.

Military and overseas citizens voting in the upcoming August 20th Primary Election should note the following:

  • UOCAVA Vote-By-Mail ballots can be returned by mail or faxed directly to the Supervisor of Elections office. Ballots cannot be emailed to us.

Important Dates and Information for the Primary Election:

  • New voters must be registered by Tuesday, July 22, 2024.
  • Election Day is Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
